Walkable Neighborhoods

Green building does not have to be high-tech although
solar panels, wind turbines, and LEDs are pretty cool.
Sometimes the simple things can have a large effect on
a home's green-ness. Take location for example. Homes
located within close proximity to workplace,
restaurants, grocery stores, shopping districts and
other amenities inspire more pedestrian traffic and
therefore less gas guzzling which means less pollution,
less noise, more exercise, better health, and more
money in your pocket. A great new resource recently
came to my attention that provides a score to an
address based on walking distances.
